Eddie League (classmate), Division 4 "Champion" advances to the 2008 IHRA World Finals Race in North Carolina! As you know, Eddie has been drag racing competitively for 30+ years earning many honors such as track champion, Super Chevy Champion, and many other notable awards. Year after year he has participated in the IHRA Bracket Finals and the NHRA Bracket Finals but most recently he earned his biggest accomplishment, Division 4 Champion of the 2008 Summit Super Series race BOX Class. This year the 2008 year began when he entered the Summit Super Series race in February 2008. After winning this competition at the Angleton Raceway track in August 2008 Eddie then proceeded to the Division 4 Team Finals which took place on October 3, 2008 in Lufkin, Texas. Finally, when the dust settled, Eddie had clinched the win for Division 4 Summit Super Series "BOX Class" which advanced him to the 2008 IHRA World Finals Championship Race in Rockingham, North Carolina. The IHRA World Championship Finals for the 2008 Super Summit Series was held October 17-19, 2008. Racers from all over the U.S. competed for the World Championship title and Eddie was 1 of 8 racers representing the various divisions that race in the U.S. Although he only made it to the semi-finals, we were all ecstatic that he was eligible to participate in this prestigious event. Pictured in the group photo above is the Trawick's new family (L to R) Jacob, Jerry, Tammey, Gene, Kathleen with Sarah in front. Tammey's son, Sean, is in the Navy and was out to sea; therefore, unable to attend the wedding.    Another classmate, Beth Cowart Smith, is shown in another photo, above, wearing a purple dress.  Beth was Tammey's Matron of Honor.
