  • We graduated on May 25, 1978
  • Senior Play was Cinderella with Gary Ladd as Prince Charming and Melissa Parker was Cinderella

  • Prom - Frank Sessions and his date, Loreine Smith, built a tower of punch glasses

  • Our class was formed by only two junior high schools, Deer Park Junior High and Deepwater Junior High. Students living in the Highlands attended DP Junior High starting in 6th grade. In junior high we competed against each other in football season complete with marching bands, twirlers and cheerleaders.
  • The year we graduated we participated in over 48 clubs and activities extracurricular.  The band held a successful fundraiser and enjoyed a spring trip to Six Flags. The Deer Escorts flew to El Paso and performed two routines at the Sun Carnival Tournament.  It was the first time for a lot of us to fly in an airplane.  The Social Studies Club enjoyed a trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival.
